Ordered a Manual JCW back in February. Went for Thunder Grey with Red roof & mirror caps on 18s. The Looong wait will be over on the 23rd of June. Can't wait!

I feel your excitement!

I thought the manuals don't go into build until July?

I've decided to go for this as my every day car with the following configuration http://my.mini.co.uk/w3l2y4y7. Delivery should be around end July beginning August. Looking forward to it I believe it should suit our tiny Island. Will update you with pics once it arrives

Update - I ordered one last week but have told them I will provide a final colour choice next week - there are so many combinations of body colour, roof colour, stripe colour and wheels that I'm finding it hard to decide!

It would be rude not to take the two-tone JCW wheels and the red roof seeing as these are exclusive to the JCW. Thereafter, I've narrowed down my colour choice to Thunder Grey or British Racing Green (not Rebel Green) with the black JCW stripes... essentially one of the top two in the picture below. I've submitted the order with TG but very tempted to change to BRG as I think it will be very rare and I'd like something a little different. But TG will probably be better for resale.

Any thoughts welcome!

Like an over-excited fool I placed my order in late January and went with BRG, white roof and white bonnet stripes, so BRG might not turn out to be that rare. Or do people not pick it these days? I'm biased though - my classic Mini Cooper is BRG with white roof so I want a matching pair.

I worked for MINI for 3 years, I left 6 months ago and was told I could build my last demo.

Any car, any spec as a leaving present.

I chose a Thunder Grey Cooper S.

It was first seen on the R56 GP2, it looks the nuts.

Thunder Grey with a Red Roof would look special.

When the sun hits it, it looks amazing.
Thats some leaving present! and after only 3 years....

I don't think he was given it, it was merely the last one he had! The present was that he could spec it up himself. I am assuming?

BRG seems to be popular, we also thought it would be "pdifferent". Placed an order last week for my wife. BRG with black roof and mirror caps. Black standard stripes as didn't want the red pinstripe. Black 17s and dark glass.

Thankfully not. My wife got an email yesterday saying her Manual JCW arrived at the dealership on Friday and will be ready to collect as soon as they've got it registered. It's nearly 3 weeks earlier than we were expecting but sadly we don't have the time during the week to go and pick it up so we'll still have to wait until Saturday.

Would be nice if my wife's comes early too, it is currently scheduled for 30th July.

Although it will go on her private plate I have already told them that if it comes a day later then it can wait until the new reg.

Thank god I found this thread as I have been having exactly the same dilemma re colour choice.

I am about to pull the trigger on TG with a red roof.

What did you go for AOK?

Mine is going through build as we speak, a Netherlands car unfortunately but hey ho. I spent many hours pondering the colour choice and in the end went for Thunder Grey with a red roof and JCW stripes. I'm going to black out all the chrome and may also wrap the roof black, leaving the cross member in the grille and the mirror caps the only things red on the car. Will see.

Also fitting spacers all round and the tuning kit electric-flap exhaust system.

What can I say, it's brought out the kid in me!

God, just realised the TKEF (like how we've legitimised that abbreviation by the way!) is on top of that price cry

Evidently a guy has just had one delivered from Rybrook Stratford with all options plus TKEF. Just over £38k

SWMBO came in at a smidge under £30K.

Strange to see another with the Pana roof, our dealer had 200 cars in stock and only one with a sunroof which was SWMBO main priority. The sunroof basically decided the roof colour for us.
