R56 Rear Wiper Stuck

My Mrs has just rung me to tell me the rear wiper has stopped working and is staying put, in the 12:00 position.

It's a 2010 R56 Cooper S.

Is the rear wiper failing a common fault? Any ideas if this is an easy fix?

I've changed a rear wiper motor on an E30 BMW, but found a 2008 Audi A6 impossible.
