2015 Mini Cooper SD clutch

Before. I make myself look an idiot at the dealers, can anybody tell me whether there is any adjustment on the Cooper SD clutch.
Our car seems to need the clutch pressing all the way down to the floor, or it grates on gear changes!
Car was registered 1st March and has 1200 miles on the clock.
It was purchased for my daughter, but she is really struggling with the clutch!
It may be normal, so thought it better to ask before I drop it back to the dealer!

Best get it back before the gear box gives up! Even if there is an adjustment, doesn't sound right. Don't suppose the mat is all furled up underneath & fouling the pedal? (Highly unlikely...but I've known it happen!)
