R56 headlights

Hello all.

I have just bought a 2007 R56 Cooper's and the light warning comes on for the left front headlight low beam. The light flashes a couple of times when you switch it on and then illuminates slightly dimmer than the right one. I have changed the bulb unit which has the capacitor built onto the back of it.

Any ideas please?
