Steering Wheel Change...

Hi Folks,

Should be a simple question for the knowledgable types to answer... is there any reason why i'd not be able to fit a newer (say 2012 3 spoke sports wheel) onto my aging 2007 cabrio?

My simple thoughts were steering spigot being the same size? Airbag connectors being the same (could always change spade types if needed) etc.

I like the idea of fitting the newer wheel to sharpen up the look of the interior a little
