Happy new Cooper S owner

I'm a lurker here, but thought I'd pop up and contribute.

Recently we'd been looking around locally (Northern Ireland) at Minis for my wife. Long story short, we liked the F56 Cooper S, but not much doing in the way of deals for new or nearly new.

Regular trawling of Mini's own website yielded a couple of great value pre-reg, delivery-mile examples in Douglas Park dealership, Glasgow. I requested a video walk-around, and had it the next day. I dropped a deposit on it later that day, and picked it up last Saturday.

A mate dropped us to Belfast City airport, the Mini salesman collected us from Glasgow airport. Our car was sitting gleaming at the door when we arrived, the deal was straightforward, and the salesman produced a bouquet of flowers for my wife. First rate service. This wasn't like dealing with car salesmen at all! Now I understand what marketing people mean when they talk about the 'buying experience'.

We tagged on some light shopping in Glasgow, had a nice drive down the coast to Cairnryan to catch the ferry home, stopping off at a nice Italian restaurant for lunch. In all, a great day and this is my wife's transport for several years to come.

We've had ours for nearly a year. My wife likes it, looks like our last R56 colour scheme - nice!

Order to delivery was 4 weeks for ours, very slick.
