I've had a few of these with burnt out exhaust valves, and it's quite common if you look around the net.. If this is the case, a cylinder leakage test and a bore scope inspection will prove it. A diagnostic check would usually indicate a couple of P300 codes too. Carbon builds up on the backs of the valves, and they crack/burn out. Budget around £600 for a decent garage to fix it or half that if your handy with the spanners....

If u were a bit closer to me I could of come and had a look, to remove the cylinder head is not a major job on one of them engines. If u do decide to sell make sure u get more than £600 for it, that's too cheap even with the engine provlem
