New MINI JCW Challenge on the way...
Discussion
I'm still a bit gutted that I didn't get mine. Was too risky and when I went back to say I'll take it I'd missed out by 2 days!!! Aargh!!!! What's really annoying is that if it had actually followed the timings highlighted in the press it d already have it. Can't believe how long it has taken to actually arrive.

Yes Mini UK have really balls this up. I suspect they only realease the initial 50 and call it a day.
The terms also mean the car is registered before going to Total Track, so you may collect your brand spanking new car on March 1st, but it will have a 66 plate on it.
It better live up to my expectations...
Well, that's new to me. I hope that's not the case. I was more than happy to get it in March as I didn't want it in mid winter but then also wanted it on a 17 plate. The terms also mean the car is registered before going to Total Track, so you may collect your brand spanking new car on March 1st, but it will have a 66 plate on it.

Your dealer should be telling you all this, car is registered then it is sent to Total Track for the modifications. So it has to be registered prior to being sent to Total Track for some reason Mini are keeping to themselves, hence the form you signed.
If you want a 17 plate they will register it on March 1st then send it to Total Track and you'll probably get it in April.
All a load of shyate to be honest...

Was my mistake, they did state it, I just missed it. If you want a 17 plate they will register it on March 1st then send it to Total Track and you'll probably get it in April.

You would know when its going to be registered though surely, they would need you to insure it wouldn't they? The terms also mean the car is registered before going to Total Track, so you may collect your brand spanking new car on March 1st, but it will have a 66 plate on it.

Try grassicks in Perth, they called me the other day offering me a cancelled order.
Also heard from my dealer today confirming that my car will be pre registered in a few days as a 17 plate then off to mini challenge for the tasty bits to be fitted, so who knows it might make an appearance early march after all.

I wish Mini would hurry up and deliver these so I can see some pictures / hear first hand reviews!
This thread has been running nearly 11 months now & one poster said he was getting his in July, I assume they meant 2016 as that post was in June 16!Maybe you won't have to wait too long now.
If I'd been waiting for one of these it would need to be something else to make up for the time spent so doing!

I'm not sure how true but I did hear they are having issues getting them signed off on safety concerns hence why it may be going to a third party for the aftermarket bits.
Mini have to pre-reg the cars in order to circumvent the type approval on various modifications if I recall correctly - it supposedly saves time/money & allows a few performance upgrades you might not otherwise get , but reading the thread on delivery times, the timing point is definitely questionable! I look forward to reading the first owner posts (hopefully very soon!)The Prof said:
Latest update from me is that ive picked the reg number, the car is insured and will be registered from tomorrow.
Hopefully turn up next week sometime.
You're hopeful, mine was registered on 8th Feb and I even have the V5, and still no bloody car!Hopefully turn up next week sometime.
Mini have handled this disgracefully, a right royal fook up.
