Great news, supposedly they are doing two batches of 15 cars with the rest to follow. Looks like you've sneaked into the first run.

Would be great if BMW UK organised a track day for owners, but we may need to step up to do that ourselves!

Are you guys who have bought the JCW Challenge current Cooper S or JCW owners today ?

Whilst we cannot get the Challenge in the Netherlands - I'd love to hear some real world reviews / differences around how the car feels, handles and sounds compared to a non-Challenge JCW.

Friend of mine has a std JCW. He told me that next track day he'll come along, so there may be an opportunity to drive them both back to back. I'd imagine the Challenge will be a LOT sharper, much noisier with the Bluetooth exhaust but no quicker in a straight line.

I have a R56 JCW, but to me the F56 does not have the frantic feel of the R56. Hooefully the Challenge mods will inject that back in to the car.

Dealer just phoned and let me know that I would not be number 15 car after all but will in actual fact be number 10 which is even nicer. They are expecting delivery in the next two to three weeks.

Great news, make sure you tell us all about it in terms of spare wheels and fiddley bits.

Dont worry Il upload all the little details as that's what we are all interested in and if anyone wants to know anything at all about it let me know and il answer all questions I can. (Im the sort of person who loves all the little details about new cars!)

I was also speaking to the guys over at Black Art Graphics about getting a laser etched drawing of the challenge done. I think they did a competition a few weeks back on PH and their stuff looks pretty cool. One of the guys i was chatting too was saying that if there was a group order they would get the prices down so I'm just putting it out there. I was thinking of taking my own car over to them anyway to have the pictures taken.

Here is a link to their website which shows the kind of things they do.

Count me in... I've not been told which number I am. I have emailed my dealer to find out.

I would go for one of those if it is Challenge specific, if it just portrays the regular JCW then I am not so bothered about it.

Got the chassis number at last and delivery early October I'm told. We know the price is set at £32k with no finance contribution. Out of interest did anybody negotiate any freebie off the dealers - GardX, TLC etc.

Is there definitely no finance contribution? That's a bummer, there is on the regular JCW. What rate were you quoted? It seems BMW finance are the only company who have the car on their systems to offer a GFV on it. My offer started at 10% but is now down to 6%, but new rates / offers are due out mid September.

In terms of freebies, managed TLC.

Got told no finance contribution which was a surprise, if that is the case. Got quoted 5.9 APR back in August. Seems to be different stories from different dealers. I got told there was no way they would offer free TLC. Obviously I'll be re-visiting that conversation especially when there is no discount on the car.

In fairness it is not a walk in off the street deal, more of a bundled into the partex arrangement.

FYI TLC is free at the moment anyway:

5 years free servicing offer only available on new MINI vehicles ordered between 29th August and 10th September 2016 and registered to retail customers by 30th September 2016. MINI tlc covers the cost of all scheduled servicing for 5 years or 50,000 miles, whichever occurs first www.mini.co.uk/tlc. Participating MINI Retailers only, no cash alternative.

Just been told that the car should be finished mid September, so hopefully will get it in about 3 weeks.

That is not good news, I am No. 23 and have 2 track days booked between now and the end of October.

Give your dealer a call and see if you can find out when your car will be completed? I haven't booked any track days yet because of the lack of clarity on delivery. But I think the soonest I can possibly get it is 2 weeks, depending on how long the dealer takes to PDI the car?

I'm a little confused by this- do you mean EVO has a long-termer they are running? Or do you mean EVO has now done a full road test of the car? Is this in the latest mag? I haven't received mine yet.
