New MINI JCW Challenge on the way...
Discussion
From the speil on the order form, it clearly states the dealer cannot hang on to a cancelled order or order one for themselves and it has to go back into the 'pool' to be reallocated by the factory so the dealer will lose out, but they won't lose any sleep over it.
Fair play for cancelling, if they were honest and open about the delay then we may have more patience. If it hits December then I will say keep it until March.

Looks like the Italians beat the UK to it, mechanically I looks more impressive but the colour scheme is not to my taste.

You'll need something like Google translate unless your Italian is good.
Bottom line is...
Roll bar, six point harness, extinguishing system, suede leather steering wheel, pedals modified, digital instrumentation data acquisition, modified aerodynamic kit, alloy wheels 17", unit engine Bosch Motorsport engine boosted to 265 hp, sequential six-speed transmission Bacci, limited slip differential, flywheel and racing clutch, reinforced axle shafts, plant exhaust racing, adjustable dampers and lighter battery.

You might have a chance at buying one if you wanted one. Rumour is that not all of the initial 50 cars were sold (only 42 i think), so we don't know if they will continue with the second batch of 50. Also, a few people have cancelled their orders because they have been delayed. No one has had their cars delivered yet as we suspect there have been some delays with Type Approval and other paperwork etc. My dealer has been told that mine should be with me end of October / beginning November.
I think you'll find one still available as people are now cancelling, and I've decided to do that now. The way it has been handled by Mini HQ is a shambles. They keep putting delivery dates back with no explanation to either the dealer or end punter. Last I heard was first batch delivery not before end of November, though I guess this could change either way.
Having seen this launched as a big fanfare back at Goodwood in June it all now appears very flat.

Can't understand people cancelling because it's delayed by a couple of months; you either want the car or you don't. What difference does it make?
Its a bit like buying a BBQ in December at full price? Stupid. The car is marketed as a track biased car but track days in November/December are not that much fun add to that the car comes with Cup 2 tyres which wont be that great in winter either. Sure MINI are chucking in a set of winter wheels but If I was buying one I'd be annoyed at having to take the Team Dynamic wheels off and put them in the garage until March. The delays and reports of not selling all the cars also adds some negative vibes to the car so people get worried that they are paying £32K for a car which isn't the desirable limited run car that they thought it was and subsequently values drop. I ordered one early on and then pulled out when delivery dates started to slip and cars where still available months after it was announced.
It will be interesting to see where these are price wise next March.

The longer it goes on the more tempted I am to chop the GP2 in for one to see if they'll do a deal.
However, It will always be a hard sell, less revvy/exciting engine than the 1.6 N18, big bloated looking body, ugly steering wheel, what sounds like a punishing ride, I use my GP as a daily every now and then. I am waiting to hear what the owners think when they get them, they will be the fiercest critics.

Only one i found of any use was sytner nottingham.
Bit dissapointing as i have bought four minis in three years from strastone derby, left a message never called me back finally got through and as above they denied the existance of the car for quite a while and then finally relented and gave me a finance quote.......... on the 220!!!!!!!!

If anyone wants on these then I can sort one, I work for a MINI retailer in Yorkshire.
Note there is no discount on these and they're circa £32k.
I can run PCP/HP quotes of you're looking to fund this way.
Send me a PM if you want more info.
Have MINI resorted to try and get rid now. Note there is no discount on these and they're circa £32k.

Even if we order one, there is still no telling when it is going to turn up?
I'm told they're now making 53 and all 53 have sold. I don't want mine until next spring so the more they're delayed the better.

Are you 100% sure you can supply? If so I might know some people who will take one off your hands,Note there is no discount on these and they're circa £32k.

I think I read that someone at Mini (at some show) have confirmed that there will be a F56 JCW GP2 and is in development so not all lost for those missing the boat on one of these... perhaps the GP2 will be even more focused than this model?

I did notice however, that Autocar have removed the link, perhaps at Minis request as Challenge cars have not been delivered yet?

Will be GP3, but will be a run out of the F56 range in 2 years time minimal. F range is not even 3 years old yet. So due a face lift soon.http://www.motoringfile.com/2016/11/22/mini-confir...

Like the GP's before will have increased aero. 2 seats. More BHP, Carbon fibre spoiler. GP only seats, and so on
Mini like to say it's the fastest Mini ever built. Then when the next model comes out the the next JCW is the fastest....
