I went from 17's to 16's on my R52 JCW and changed to non-run flats and the ride is considerably better. Not sure which element made the biggest difference as I did them all at the same time.

I like the design of both however the OZ wheels are bound to be of a higher quality - I'm not saying however that the Sparco wheels won't be of a high quality - and the OZ wheels are, as you've noted, lighter.

From the looks of it, I think it must be around £260 per wheel (OZ) versus £130 per wheel (Sparco); meaning the cost for the Sparco wheels and decent tyres will be the same as the cost for just the OZ wheels?

I'd stick with 17, and use OZ. They are known to keep the weight in the wheel centralised too, so not just an overall weight saving but lighter rotation as I understand. Only my2p though
