Hi all,

Thanks for the previous help in some posts whilst I was looking for our first cooper. It changed from a 08 plate to a 10 plate, picking it up from Mini at Dundee, it's got a massive spec, 1 owner with 30k on clock, but small wheels which I plan to change. It's Costing £7000 which I'm more than happy with.
What wheels look good on silver and am I best buying genuine alloys or aftermarket ones and do I keep run flats on it or swap them for standard tyres.

Thanks all,

Jason

Definitely get rid of the runflats! Out of interest, why do you want to go bigger? Most people tend to get their Mini then put smaller wheels on... I did; from 17" to 16" (just added a picture to my profile, though it's probably not the look you're after)

Most Mini wheels tend to be very heavy, so when people change it's usually to aftermarket ones. I had a silver car last (though not a Mini) and personally I think anthracite wheels complement the colour perfectly smile

Agree with ditching the runflats. I'm still running my R53 mcs on it's winter wheels which are 15" ride is some much nicer and give a really nice "old skool" feel to the handling with the high side walls.

Hi,

We/she prefers the look of the larger wheel filling the arch more with the 17" wheel.

Instead of increasing the size of the wheel... lower the car smile better handling, better looks and cheaper tyres!

I've got a set of 17'' genuine Mini wheels with tyres which I would sell (they're called bullets if that helps).

I've got a set of genuine 'Bridge' 16" MINI Alloys with Bridgestone Blizzak winters on. They need a good home wink

Thanks for the reply but it's the 17" where looking for, in particular the ones mentioned in the previous post.

Hi, they're near perfect (one has a small curb mark). Two tyres are run flats and two are not and they all have plenty of tread (hopefully this gives you both options in terms of whether you want to stick to run flats or ditch them in the future but I ran them mixed without an issue). Unfortunately I'm down South though so it may not work out. Drop me an email via my profile if you think we could work something out.
