If the PCD and centre 'ole is the same as on my 2005 R53 Cooper S??? I've worked out that a Rover spacesaver works as a spare. It is 125/80/15. Rolling circumference is 94% of a 205/45/17. They are about £20 on eBay. The Mini ones are supposed to be 115/70/15. Only 88% rolling circumference. They cost a load of money.

Depends what your lady uses the car for and if she needs all the boot space (yes folks, I know it can't go underneath) you can get a cheap cover for it and stand it up strapped to back of the seats.
Brassd on Mini2 has done it and posted a picture showing how it is secured.
I'm going to change my Pirelli PZeros RF for non RFs when I've worn them out. Unfortunately they are quite new, put on by previous owner. They are pretty good but I hanker for 'normal' tyres. When I do fit them I'm going to go the Brassd route with my Slime kit AND a spacesaver spare in the boot. It is not my daily so I don't really need the boot space.
Just a thought.
