Mini Cooper S airbag light (2005)

Does anyone know if the B200 airbag reset tool works on a 2005 R53 Cooper S?

The blurb says

16 TO 20 PIN CONNECTOR FOR VEHICLES BEFORE 2001

IT IS SUITABLE FOR THE FOLLOWING MODELS

MINI R50 - ALL VARIANTS
MINI R52 - ALL VARIANTS
MINI R53 - ALL VARIANTS

SUITABLE ONLY FOR VEHICLES BETWEEN THE YEARS OF 1994 & 2003

Which is as clear as mud.

Is it pre 2001, all R53 models or pre 2003 i can take from that?
