The wheels on our pool car Countryman are corroding in places and I am going to tidy them up myself. However Mini tells me there is no touch up paint for them.

Would anyone by chance know whether there is something quite close available in a rattle can please? These are the wheels.

I don't know if there's a product available, if so try Halfords. But surely to make it look any good you'll need to sand down the corrosion first, prime, top coat with a matched silver and then lacquer.

Given you can get a set of wheels refurbished for around £250, where they will be fully stripped, repaired, and resprayed, it's surely not worth the hassle of doing yourself?

I can do what is necessary in about half an hour if I have the paint. I would usually agree with you but this is our pool car so I don't want to spend money on cosmetic fluff.

Ok, then Halfords do this: http://www.halfords.com/motoring/paints-body-repai...

But take a look at the reviews - some people are suggesting just to get silver body paint instead.

Looks like the old "5 wheel silver".

I might take a wheel down there and roll it up and down the paint isle until I see something similar. wink
