The wife has a Countryman Cooper S. What mods?

Hi Mini folks.
The missus has managed to snatch a bargain 62 plate Countryman Cooper S with all the options (pan roof, leather, nav, chilli, lights, parking etc). It's only got 11k miles on it and it is absolutely mint. Previous owner hardly used it by the looks of it.
Anyway..... I've had a bunch of fast cars, most of them modified, and the missus has had a range of cars all the way from an Astra SXI, to the lovely Alfa Brera Prodrive SV6. Her most recent was a 64 plate Q7 Sline Plus. She has never ventured into upgrading anything though.
The Countryman is a great fun little (or big) car and she is loving the wizzy, fizzy little engine. We did try a JCW but for the money we couldn't really see where the extra was over the Cooper S. With it's hardy N18 engine and taught chassis, what is there to be done to make it a little more punchy and sporty without ruining the ride (admittedly a little crashy over bumps) and smooth power delivery ? Who has done what to their Mini SUV and was it worth it? Is there anything we should 100% not do?
She might not be bothered about modding it, but I might do it anyway
