Hi, not sure if this is the right place to post this???

Some tw*t driving in the middle of the road today clipped my wing mirror. Smashed the glass and knocked the backpiece clean off, didn't realise it was gone until I got home. Anyone know where I can get one that won't cost me a ridiculous sum of money? All I can find is the caps to go over the wing mirrors to let you change the colour, etc, but not the actual backs themselves...

Also, the glass, couple on ebay look alright for about £10, any recommendations?

Cheers

They'll do the mirror but will they do the back cap?

As above Halfords claim to be able to supply anything.

What age car is it btw, trying the main dealer may not be too expensive.

Oh cheers, I'll give them a call! It's 2013, haven't tried Mini themselves, but it might be worth a try!

Had an unaccountable road user knock mine off and I then ran over it!

£80 from Mini.

You could try this website. I've used them before for a part that was on sale and it was OK but the prices are similar to the local dealers.

The other option is to go through something like breakeryard.com for second-hand parts. Be aware that the powerfold covers are different.

So, went out searching this morning on the off chance that I may find the old cover, found it in a ditch and aprt from a few scratches it's intact!!! Went to Halfords to get a mirror, got one of the ones that you just stick over the top of the broken one, will do for now until I get a proper replacement!
