I think an increase of around 30bhp would be feasible through either a remap or chip.

Roughly 140 bhp with equal or if not more torque than a Cooper S would definatley make the Dooper an economic and brisk daily drive biggrin

Have you been on MINI2?

My wife has had her MINI Cooper D 2 months now and getting nowhere near the stated MPG. Currently getting around 48mpg with a max of 56mpg when we took it to Wales.

OK, it's used as a driving instructors car, but the previous Renault Clio consistently got 54mpg and both manufacturers state similar figures. Coupled with a much smaller tank means she's filling up every 360 miles as opposed to 520 miles in the Clio.

Anyone else finding the economy not as stated?

my overall economy has improved, but saying that it has been to le mans and has just come back from another trip to france. it's current MPG is now 58.6 and i'm filling up every 450miles. so it's getting there.
