1 day before we p/x the cooper the clutch dies, £600 and a new clutch & thrust bearing later we're running again... Only to realise that some bd robbing twunt has stolen the fking caps off the front of the mirrors overnight at the garage!! bds.

Wife wants shot of the car asap now, where can we get caps as soon as possible? Obviously we could go to a mini dealer but having spent £750 on a £3k car we're getting rid of this isn't sitting well with me. Am I best off scouring eBay etc?

Oh, and we're in the south west, so will travel anywhere between Bristol and Devon I suppose if we can pick them up. Ta.

Are they really that easy to get off then? I was trying to take the nearside one off my OH's 'new' Mini to sort out a rattle, but couldn't get the cover off as it seemed to only come a little way off then snap back in. banghead

They are not too hard to take off but odd they only took them, you can take the whole mirror off in a few seconds
