Hi

Can anyone suggest an interesting / good hotel in or around Rotterdam please ? I am visiting a customer in Schiedam in 2 weeks time but would rather stay somewhere more 'Dutch' than the Ibis...

Budget no problem, I'm hoping someone can recommend a place with some character, pref with parking.

Thanks smile

Best location by far IMO is Hotel New York (the old Holland America Line terminus building on the end of a pier in the Nieuwe Maas river, just off the Erasmus bridge).

Aye, this is ace. Ask for a riverside room. Let me know if you need any dinner recommendations.

€99. Booked. Thanks all smile

I have to book one night in Amsterdam too, although I know the place a bit better (Krasnopolski is good), any ideas on that ?

Really appreciate this by the way, thank you.

And has a good comedy club around the corner. Often with English language stand up....

...and not the kind of place I was after really. I don't mind paying €€€ if the Hotel has some character, I don't want a generic chain hotel if possible. wink

DSR participants had a great time staying in the Hotel NY.

Wil get back to you about the Amsterdam hotels ASAP.

Wow, the NYH in Rotterdam was great, exactly what I wanted. Nice food downstairs too, thanks all for the suggestions !

I'm in Amsterdam on Wednesday night, will probably book the QBIK Hotel suggested. If I get time on this quick trip, I'll have a look at Zaandvoort circuit too, a few of the guys are talking about a trackday there next year if possible smile
