Hi to all GK Pistonheads!

You may have noticed that, of late, the Keebling magazine has 'lost' a few of its pages. The editor advises that this is due to a lack of material. He's conscious of some of the great stuff being put up on this forum - pictures of centre consoles re-carpeted (nice job, by the way!), man-sheds under way, works in progress on various cars - but this is only seen, or known about, by a few!

How about sending these items to the editor, as well as to this site? That way, we can all enjoy the popular "Work in Progress" page(s) that sometimes appear and can hopefully feature, in an edition soon, some more enties for "My Garage" (see Vol.42, No.1) The editor's email is shown on P2 of the magazine.

In the meantime, best wishes to you all for Christmas and the New Year, and thanks for the enthusiasm and entertainment!!
Point taken, I shall make an effort to get some material to the magazine in the near future. The "fleet" are all reversed into the garage ready for a "My Garage" photo, so I just need a bit of decent weather at the weekend.

V10Mike, I've just realised that this is your car with a different set of wheels. Are they the Realm alloys? Long term I'm looking to replace Ch76's Wolfies with something more like the originals And the Realm alloys are the closest match.

They are Triumph TR6 wheels, with centre-lock pin-drive adaptors supplied by Ernie Knott. They have a six inch rim width and are fitted with 205/70 VR15 Avon CR28 tyres.

Unfortunately they are a poor fit on the G-K, as they have too much offset and foul the wheelarches even with the spacers shown (notwithstanding that number six has enlarged wheelarch openings). Also, Borrani style spinners have the wrong taper for G-K hubs, and should not be used unless modified as per my article in the GKOC magazine a year or two ago.

I sold them to the bloke in Germany who bought number nine from me.

The Realm wheels are much better, though I understand they still need spacers to clear the brake calipers.

Looks like Godin Banks have sold the de Bruyne car- at least it no longer appears on their stocklist.

Hi All,

I've just noticed that there is another 2 x GK's in the workshop recently! It's becoming quiet a home to a few now (in a good way), must be around 6 different ones that have been worked on by the old man (Terry J Harris)... He'll be calling himself a specialist next! Ha ha... I would put some pics up but the customers may not want this so will refrain!

I might put some pics on of stuff that Terry J Harris is capable of, not forgetting Harris Racing/Fabrication (me, Daryl son of Terry)...

Regards, Daryl

Daryl, Glad to see you say (G-K) "specialist" - which is fair comment...
I do so hate "ex-spurt"...

Good luck

Well spotted "GK52".

YES, the de Bruyne 'special' has been sold. {Sorry, to anyone with that on your Santa's Wish List.}
See next issue of Keebling for more details.

Merry Christmas, but "Drive Safely" - to all our readers.

I bumped into the previous owner of my car this morning, had a good long chat, he told me that Pearce Magna Wheels are being made again.

Happy new year everyone. Popped into Terrys yesterday to settle my account, thought I'd make a personal appearance as he'd mentioned he had another GK in and I wanted to take a look. Tidy looking dk blue one, not pictured on the GKOC site, always nice to see another and compare/contrast. Hunstman, we're long overdue a progess update and pics, it's almost two months since Ch57 entered the man shed.

Mellow, you missed my car by only two days. I'm going to see Terry on Saturday! All the post shake down issues following a major restoration now (hopefully) sorted. Just the front wing chrome strips to fit- royal mail managed to misplace them for over a month whilst the car was being reassembled....Seems they are able to track to destination, however, if it doesn't make it that far then that's as far as the tracking goes- premium price rubbish service.

"Gordon Keeble Logo" items on internet.

I was shocked today to see a whole range of items on eBay using 'our' badge.
These are NOT the club items and the supplier has not sought our agreement to use the 'logo', nor the suitability of the item(s). The club items use the correct design and high quality materials, e.g. traditional enamel, (not a 'vinyl' backing), as befits cars of Gordon-Keeble quality.

A few years ago I bought a 'sample' Vinyl Tax Disc Holder, from a similar source.
I threw it away - it was such poor quality. Caveat Emptor!!

Terry did have a set of front chrome wing strips there, I pressume they were yours. I work only half an hour away by tube so I may pop by to have a look if I'm free one lunch time.

I confess to buying a key fob some time ago, not great quality but it was only a fiver. The company just manufacture the badges in various sizes and stick them to a range of generic products, the badges are on a metallic background so they don't exactly look "period".

In my defence I didn't realise the club had such items available, the club site only lists the Bertone badges, cufflinks and tie pin. Do the club still have key fobs and those gorgeous GCOK grill badges?

Thank You, 'Mellow Yellow' - for pointing out the omissions...

Both the Gordon-Keeble Key Ring {as supplied with the cars} and the 'gorgeous' GKOC badge designed by Ernie Knott, (bless him), are available from the club secretary.

{Below are a couple of 'snaps' to give the idea!}

Chrome strips Terry had must have been for the other GK he had in. I live near Horsham, West Sussex but work in Central London (Holborn).

They were for my car, however, I drove up on Saturday morning and Terry took about half an hour to fit them for me.

No update, two reasons, I'm flat out at work and an event I'm organising and I'm flat out on a minor (turned major) refit on my Morris Traveller (rear springs, axle repair, engine mounts, hand brake cables, painted wheels and so it goes on).

Hope to get back onto the GK in about 2 or 3 weeks.

Nice photo. Looks like a little more concrete or a couple of ramps might be needed to avoid taking the exhausts off. Speed humps in London are like mountain ranges as far as my car is concerned! The type that do not span the entire road are worst, as the wheels stay on the same level and the bump in the middle of the road takes aim at the exhausts.
