So jealous, that's going to look great! Lovely colour, is it an original GK shade?

Can't beleive you've gone for that colour GK52, and of course I already have a red leather interior. Was pretty much decided on it, might have to have a last minute change of mind but time running out to make a decission now. I used to be indecisive but now...

Thanks for the tip on tail lights Huntsman. They have the tops too, same price (which is v.cheap imho): http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ruckleuchtenglaser-taill...

Or a full set of tails lights albeit with US lenses (brace yourself):
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ferrari-250-Tail-Light-L...

Can anyone tell me where I can get the following:
- rubber/felt seal/channel that sits in chrome door frame for window to move up/down in.
- Door hinge bolts in S/S
- rubber boot lid seal

In fact if anyone has sourced all the rubber door seals required and could supply me with a list along with prices and suppliers that would be really handy smile

Have emailed DY too.

Hi Mellow,

Apologies for the colour choice. If you do go for it 75, 76 and 77 will all be variations on grey with red leather interior! Given the infrequency of seeing two GKs together that shouldn't influence your decision making process.

Woolies SRS110 does most of the car- 13m all told. it is not exactly the same as the original but the best out there I think. We also used it for the boot.

I used Woolies heavy Hardura for the underside of the bonnet.

The window channels we bought in France from ENPI.

DY has tail light lenses- ironically I just bought some off him, having sourced them for the club in the first place.

Italparts also supplies the lenses, however, they are more expensive now than when I first used them.

Likewise I need help with the rubber trim. Window channel comes from Seals Direct.

I couldn't get an answer to enquires from Italparts, so hit the ebay button.

Woolies SRS 110 might be the closest out there but that doesnt mean it will fit. I couldnt get it to fit properly on 77 and (more tellingly) neither could Terry. It is just too big. Terry came up with a solution for me (sorry dont have enough details to post on that). The ideal solution would be to commission some of the original profile but that means tooling costs and minimum quantaties...
I would personally recommend holding off ordering from Woolies for the moment or at least ordering only a sample quantity

Hi all,

GK52, thanks for the advice, I called Terry for his screen fitting tips, both front and rear are in, sealed the front and waiting to fit chrome trim once the sealer cured a bit, onto the rear seal this evening. fitting them is a joy and a pleasure......

Mellow, I used Woolies 317 for the window channel, spent quite a while getting the window to run freely and ended up ripping the fold in rubber wings, a pain! I changed the 317 to 117, window runs well and seal is quite good.

As for the door seals I used the SRS110, I got this from DY, on the sill line and felt/rubber aperture (woolies 264) seals for the rear quarter lights and the rest of the door surrounds, probably not the done thing but it works and looks quite good, DY has the boot seal in stock.

Hi B7trr/sussexkeebler , any chance of pictures of the various rubber parts in situ?

75 goes off to the trimmers tomorrow, and I remember an amount of moaning about the srs110 last time around with 52.

Pictures below are the section that came off the sill/step plate on 75:

Thanks B7trr. Very impressed with the reflection off your step plate- did you chrome them or just a lot of elbow grease?

Yep, going vent-less, TBH I can't see that they would have made much difference to under bonnet temp, the actual hole from engine bay to vent was very small and had a lot of obstructions. 76 only has a single 14" fan at present and the only cooling issue I've had was due to water pump failing, I've sat in traffic a few time with no issues. Toying with upgrading to either a 16" or two smaller ones just in case.
