The Dunton affair being arranged by "soaringace" is so tempting - I did the test track some years ago in a Scimitar Coupe, without restrictions. Puts a smile on the face and also gets the adrenalin flowing! The track feels amazingly narrow, especially if you're pushing on a bit on the banked sections. But I don't think I can make it, as I have an invite for the American Car Show at the Museum of Power at Maldon, in Essex. Seems a quarter ton of Detroit's finest is sufficient to qualify...........!

Won't be ready for Thursday, hoping to have it back for GRRC members open day on 12th Aug, failing that, Capel Car show the following Saturday. Gearbox arrived last Thursday and all seems well with it, aiming to pop in to see Terry and get a few more pics this week.

I'm so looking forward to Thursday I've had my camera, memory card and spare batteries ready for days! I'd like to take a stack of pics of interior, chrome trim outside and engine bay as that's where most of my forthcoming work it, I hope other owners will be happy for me to take lots of pics of their cars.

Hello Huntsman,

CH81 will be available for a photo shoot, he's not in concourse condition but all there and pretty original apart from the auto box and colour.

The car is for sale, and photos will be posted in the next few days.
The seller understands this is a 'bit of G-K history' - but it is a "Barn Find" (IMHO)!

Looking forward to meeting a few of you tonight, I'll be in a GRP V8 but sadly not Ch76.

Yep, some amazing cars there and great to meet the owners, especially the other two new South East owners. Thanks to the organisers.

New bumpers are finally on route, I ordered them in mid June!

Purchased from Group Harrington who are based in Ho Chi Manh, Vietnam

Very impressed with the courtier who collected at 16.49 on the 2/08/12 and they arrived in Southampton today at 7.37 am, so I should have them on Monday!

I'll try and post a pic and let you all know what they're like if interested

I'm very interested to hear how the Harrington Group bumpers look, they're currently making some replacement ones for my old Maserati, using the old ones as a pattern. Hopefully the quality and fit will do these beautiful cars justice smile

Sorry can't answer your questions but there is a Gordon Keeble in Milestones in Basingstoke !!
I'm guessing that was in the temporary exhibit area? I first saw that Gordon Keeble when it was in storage prior to Milestones opening. I can't remember what they said they'd paid for it but they bought at the very height of the nineties classic car boom and it was a huge amount. I saw it again when Milestones opened but when I returned in 2006 it had gone. I emailed them to ask where it was and got this reply from the curator...

The Gordon Keeble car is presently in store at our Winchester HQ.
Unfortunately it is not from a period that fits in with our street displays and would therefore be out of context if we were to install it in Webbers 1930s showroom.
It has twice spent time on display at Milestones within our "Exhibition Court", which is not a contextual display area, for a total period of two years since our opening in 2000.
I am very sorry that it was not on display for your visit and I do hope it did not reduce your enjoyment in any appreciable way.
The car has recently had a new clutch fitted and may well be seen at some of the Hampshire outdoor events, staff availabilty permitting.

I've been back a couple of times since but not managed to catch it there.

The Haynes museum in Yeovil also has one (or did last time I visited)
It was still there last Sunday. A wonderful museum when you're down that way, although it might be worth waiting until the current work on their expansion is complete. There was no aircon on our visit and it was a bit stuffy in there!

Have the bumpers arrived yet B7trr? happy with them?

I see you got snapped on Sunday along with Ch88:
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

I've some more snaps of Ch76, progress update long overdue, will try and drag myself away from the olympics this week and do a proper post. Another hitch, Goodwood Revival now looking like the only outing i'll make.
