Any Gordon Keeble Owners Out There?

Well spotted B7trr, 77 is indeed an auto. It had been converted previously using a TH350 box and I decided to keep it that way. I did think about using a 4 speed TH700r4 but decided against it as too many things to alter. Electrics had allready been changed to 12v negative earth.
81 also runs a TH350 and DY did tell me that 77 was auto but it didn't click until after I put it on PH after seeing the shifter, I do like the auto and changing back to manual wasn't a consideration during the rebuild, I also like how quick it changes when you use the shifter to change manually..Have you got to the bottom of the brake issue? airlock or fluid lose?
Hi Mellow,
the covers look great, any chance you can get a couple more done - I take it they are polished stainless?I have been thinking about the wheel situation for GK11 again, after talking to several owners and seeing how good the original wheels look on a nice GK I think it wise to stick with the Dunlop steel wheels at the standard size.I say standard - mine are 5 &1/2 rims on 11 and 96.Will you be coming to the 50th next month (its coming round quick!)?

Mellow - I have to say those kick plates certainly look the business
GK52 and Keeblekid take a bow as the servo was indeed the guilty component. took it off and you could hear the fluid sloshing around inside. Now sent off the be refurbished (again). Actually sent both off as if one is US then the other has to be suspect - perhaps I should have gone for lockheeds after all...

Hi sussexkeebler, glad you have found the problem-funny you did not see any white smoke though.A guy I talk to at a brake engineering firm has always said leave replacing the servos till last in a restoration. They don`t do very well just sitting in a car not being used,he is dead right.I had the same problem in one of my Rover P6 3500S cars, servo seals failed through drying up and lack of use.If you use the car regularly my brake man tells me girling Mk2A`s are as good as Lockheed`s.

Heaveho, that's quite a complement, especially considering the caliber of the turn out! a superb morning.
Gutted, I was there but didn't see you, presume you were on the Lavant straight? By the time I reached Woodcote I'd done two hours and needed to get back so didn't view the rest. Mellow Yellow said:

Sorry you missed us, we didn't get there until 9.30 ish, you presume correctly we were parked on the Lavant straight. . it was a great turn out and I've not seen it as busy. B7trr said:

Jamie, thank you! your help during the rebuild was and is greatly appreciated, will be thinking of you on Wednesday.
Well, there was obviously some other nice stuff there, but I've had a soft spot for Keebles for years, so it's always a treat to see one, especially as well turned out as yours, so thanks for bringing it! It was a great morning, I drove up in convoy at a reasonable lick, in the company of some quick and expensive stuff, saw some wonderful cars, the weather was spot on, and had another lively blast home, just what the Doctor ordered!Jamie, thank you! your help during the rebuild was and is greatly appreciated, will be thinking of you on Wednesday.

fits in wth the general grey theme for 75-77.
Not sure "three shades of grey" is going to take the bestseller lists by storm... Nice colour though. Also like the guy on the phone as he is sanding. Asume that's you telling him to sand faster?Edited by Mellow Yellow on Wednesday 14th May 12:40
