Spray shop have just been in touch, they've unwrapped the Harrington Group bumpers and the centre sections have noticeable rippling, see light reflection in picture:

I unwrapped one of the end pieces on receipt, looked perfect so wrapped it back up and left the rest to avoid it getting damaged/marked.

Is this typical? I just took a look at B7trr's and there appear to be three distinct peaks in the reflection of the grill.

...on another note, what T-section did you other restorers use for teh bumpers and where did you get it from? I've order some but now I have it, it looks a bit fine.

I used a ruuber T section from woollies trim , looks arrow shaped on the diagram, it stretches nicely to the contour of the bumper.

The bumper does have imperfections/slight ripples but I put this down to it being hand beaten and not machine pressed.

Yeah, I'd pretty much come to that conclusion. I'll take a look around at the 50th, I'm sure they'll be pretty typical. Thanks for tips on T section. I have photos of painted boot/bonnet and a masked up car, I believe it'll be in primer before the day is out if not already.

Yep, its a support for the bottom rad hose. Bolts to a bracket near the bottom of the chassis. When it stops raining I'll nip out to the manshed and take a pic to post.

Thanks sussexkeebler,at least I know what it is,and thanks for the exhaust suggestion Huntsman.I`ll offer up the hoses and that should show me,thats the trouble buying an unfinished project.I am amazed there has not been a lot more missing and strangely I had doubles of other parts.Just put some old tyres from our village garage on 11`s wheels so I can move it sometime this year.Got my camera & the wifes ipad ready for the 50th,going to try and catch every keeble as they leave the car park.Heres an interesting shot of 11!

Anyone know if these plates perform any useful function:

Stuck in place with some mastic and a lot of painted over screws, V10Mikes is the only other car I've seen them on.

81 has them to, I assumed they were for a little more element protection for the pedal box/interior panel and inner wing on the drivers side and the glove box/windscreen motor /inner wing on the passenger side

Any other Keeblers going to the Classic car Show and Autojumble at QEII park, Petersfield, on Sunday? I'm heading there for the morning, need to get back to look after the boy and re-assemble a large box of shiny chrome bits.

50 minutes to assemble, is this a record?

OK, I did spend about 30 mins beforehand cleaning up one of the threads and I've not straightened the spacers or tightened up the nuts yet but that's all minor detail smile
