Here's one my dad done many years ago for P. Preen... I can't remember the Chassis number but I'm pretty sure 'one of 99' can remind as not with dad today... I would say he must of done this between 15-18 years ago...

Regards Daryl.

Once again I can't remember the chassis number but I think it was the blue one but hopefully David can shed some light... It was another P.Preen car. He also made a dummy chassis so the bodies can be moved around, mainly for going to the paint shop... It is currently under the body of Ch30 while the restoration to the main chassis is being carried out... If any one may need the use of it in the future I'm pretty sure you have my dads number.

Regards Daryl.

" Here's one my dad done many years ago for P. Preen... Daryl
I can't remember the Chassis number " ... It was Ch49.

Afraid I cant be certain of the dates...Ch49 had a Mega Re-Build and was 'STAR of the SHOW' - Appearing as a Rolling Chassis in 2008 - where some visitors thought production had re-started. ie a NEW G-K!!
Then, again, in 2009 as the (just) completed re-build - Which Terry drove home from the show!!

Hi all,

I hope you don't all feel like I'm taking over your G-K pages, I just it would be nice for the owner and all to see how Ch#30 is being restored to its original Spec with a slightly enhanced top of diff area and mount.

Below is the following pictures of the offside and then near side strut mount being re-worked and re-built.

Regards Daryl

Love the pictures Daryl. The Ex Paul Preen blue car you referred to that your dad did the chassis work on was most likely Ch 52.

Just got my spinners back from the chrome platers, thanks to Hunstman for finding Roy at Kacimac Ltd, Waterlooville. Finally somebody who can turn the stuff around in 2-3 weeks, is very reasonably priced and does a very nice job, shame I didn't know about him before I had the rest of the chrome done.
Before and after below:

Just need to put them back on and it's Ch 76 Exterior = Done smile

I'm trying to trace the early history of my G-K and to that end I've posted an appeal for information on the Classic Cars and Yesterday's Heroes forum. One of the respondents suggested I try a posting here - any leads at all will be much appreciated.

Hi Daryl, the pictures look amazing and it shows how much easier it is doing this with the body off the chassis. It took me many weeks to get the engine bay tubing of 97 down to what you have done on 30.Who knows I might finish it this year!

Number 60 is now reluctantly up for sale!

Having had a few minor jobs done over the winter, it is now running better than ever. Will put advert online shortly, but do have some potential buyers already, so will see if any of these materialise.

If anyone wants more details, please get in touch.

The car looks lovely Alan and I`m sure you will get a good price for it.I noticed you have red brake calipers were they like this when you got no.60?Both 11 & 97 have red calipers and I wondered if that was factory standard spec?Anyone else have red calipers on their G-K?

Plenty of interest in the car, and it looks like it has sold! Will be sad to see it go. It attracted so much interest, and positive comments (as usual!) in the Race Retro car park yesterday.

Not sure if the red calipers were on it originally (although I think not), but my file shows that the previous owner had the calipers refurbed a few years back and they were painted red at that time (can't be sure if they were previously like that though).
