That is fantastic B7trr, let me be the first to congratulate you. Can't wait to see it in the flesh.
thanks Mellow!Oh, the cable going over the fuel filter is the rev counter one, a lesson to others to check and recheck after pulling the dash in and out numberous times for tight curves, it snapped on the way back from the MOT centre! fixed now..

Congratulations B7trr. I had the same thing happen to the rev counter cable on 52! 75 back from the trimmers today!!! How's the painting prep progressing Mellow? Your turn for some photos....
After the initial flurry of activity, things have slowed somewhat, last update showed paint still coming off rather than going on, and still a fair bit to come off I'll chase for another update and put some up some more pics when there's a significant change.

Vette Number, how is your restoration progressing? I think your car (30?)is one of the few cars not represented on the club website. Any chance of a photo?
Hi GK52 I can certainly supply a picture - but of which bit?! I guess the most recognisable would be the body shell although that's had the least amount of work. I'll ping something over for the website soonestkeeble kid said:
Hi B7trr,
what was your first run like? The pics of 81 look great & that colour really suits a G-K.Plus good news I'll definitely be coming to the 50th so see you there,I might just bring a steering wheel & log books to prove I'm an owner!
The journey went very well KeebleKid, glad to hear you can make the 50th, the trip up was preoccupied with temp/oil pressure/somethings not quite right monitoring and the trip back had a bit of wind noise from an errant door seal but other than that all OK and at times I actually relaxed! GK52 I'm sure you know what I mean and Vette Number, you have this joy to come!what was your first run like? The pics of 81 look great & that colour really suits a G-K.Plus good news I'll definitely be coming to the 50th so see you there,I might just bring a steering wheel & log books to prove I'm an owner!
It was a good day and Oneof99 was in fine fettle.
Thought I'd add the following pic of Ch81 taken last Friday as the car was out for Children in Need, Ch81 decided to spring a leak in the oil pressure gauge pipe and lost about 2 ltr's of oil!
oh and this unrelated pic taken yesterday- its only showing 29K! note the rear wheel

Hi B7trr,
car looks great I remember seeing it with the guy from Totton,I can't believe it looks this good - well done. When we was there
you mentioned the headlamp bezels, did they rechrome OK?The gear selector you found was a good buy,I wonder how many more GK's have autos?I have really got to get the top coat on the rest of the chassis to match the engine bay, which has turned out well.Lets all hope for some good weather for the 50th B7trr.Cheers for now.
