I'd have thought starting a brand new chassis more cost effective than repairing that.
I ummed and aahed over this for several years and looked into scanning and digitising - not my finest entrepreneurial idea considering the rather limited market. Anyway as Darryl said the bodies are extremely tight - even with no fixings #30's body refused to budge before finally being inched clear. So fair to say even with the tightest tolerances a new chassis would be challenging to say the least. I also like the idea of preserving something of the original which the guys built back in 1964 - even if it only turns out to be a single section of steel down the middle!
Wishing a Happy New Year to all fellow Keeblers and supporters. 2014 was quite a year and it was great to see so many articles on the GK and of course to enjoy the highlights of a brilliant 50th Anniversary event and the display at the NEC. Many thanks to all who organised these events - they were greatly appreciated. Lets hope 2015 is another super GK year. All the best from Mr, Mrs and Juniors '48' !
