Number 60 is now reluctantly up for sale!
Having had a few minor jobs done over the winter, it is now running better than ever. Will put advert online shortly, but do have some potential buyers already, so will see if any of these materialise.
If anyone wants more details, please get in touch.
Just found the pictures of this car in 1969 previous post.Having had a few minor jobs done over the winter, it is now running better than ever. Will put advert online shortly, but do have some potential buyers already, so will see if any of these materialise.

[quote=Vanin]Found these two in the archives taken in 1969 at Marlborough College Wiltshire.
I have just seen it in blue on the previouspage
Thanks for that - it is #60 which I have just sold! I have never seen a photo of it before it was blue, but it was white from new and changed colour I think in the early '70's to the electric blue it is today.

Just finishing off a few jobs on 77 to make it ready for the good weather but one issue has me a little puzzled. I have been getting a smell of fuel in the car after running for a few miles. I suspect a loose union or a bit of porous pipe but when I rebuilt her I ran the pipe along the transmission tunnel and (as is usual with Keebles law) the suspect bit of pipe I cant get at easily. So I have been thinking about going back to running a pipe through the sill as original but dont have many clues as to how that actually ran. Is there anyone out there with original set up who could post a couple of pictures of where the pipe enters the sill and where it emerges? Thanks.
Thanks to Paul and the club for organising a very enjoyable day at Wellington College, good turn out of cars too with ten in total. I shan’t steal the clubs thunder with a full line up photo, which I’m sure will appear in the next club magazine but here’s a couple of tasters for those who couldn’t make it.
Also two from the Goodwood 73rd Members Meeting. An ex Tazio Nuvolari Alfa Romeo 8C, on closer inspection, the Italian used the tortoise on his race cars as it was the provincial badge of the Mantua part of Italy:
Finally, I also spotted this "motoring life" on the stand of motoring artist, Richard Wade. Not sure if it's a genuine owners motoring history or if it's something the artist made up to promote his work. Two GKs feature, Ch65 and Ch79 (now in NZ) so it seems unlikely they were owned by the same person:

Good to see my brother's artistry ! Well spotted Mellow- presumably you saw him at the Goodwood members meeting. The artwork was a present to me from my brother for a significant birthday and features the cars that have really mattered so far ! The Keebles are number 79 [ GBH606C] which was owned from new until 1972 by our father, Tony Wade, and still exists in New Zealand with Russ Ward who I think acquired it in about 1976. It had done about 100000 miles when we sold it with no major problems. The sunset grey car is number 65 [FBH272C] ,an amazingly original and low mileage car owned from 1965 to 1985 by the late Cooper racer and BRDC member Eric Brandon who also raced the Halseylec. I enjoyed the 50th clebrations with it but have subsequently sold it to a very good friend in Cheshire, James Chapman. This only came about due to my acquisition of number 93, a car I have lusted after since I first encountered it in July 1970 at the inaugeral meeting of the GKOC at the Jaguar Drivers Club Silverstone meeting. After 20 years of hibernation I am pleased to say that it made to the NEC last november. It is another very low mileage and original car and I love it !Previous owners have included two old friends, Peter Rickitt [ founder of the Cholmondley Pageant of Power] and Willie Green [historic racer extraordinaire].Both remain huge fans of the Keeble and I hope to see Peter next week to reunite him with 93.

Impressive metal wrangling
That's a lot of frilly metal there; did you have any difficulty getting the body back on after renewing all those tubes? Presumably if a new chassis became necessary you'd have to tack it up in-situ, at least partially, to ensure the two would fit each other?GBH606C said:

Yes, it was at the Members meeting. Funnily enough I spoke to Willie Green when I was looking for a GK, he does a bit of car finding on the side. He did try to talk me out of it in favour of a Jensen (either 541 or CV8, I can't remember which!), but I wasn't to be swayed. David filled me in on a lot of the above but nice to have it from the horses mouth, " chassis 93 - previously heralded as the perfectly preserved Gordon Keeble" https://www.facebook.com/CharlesTyrwhitt/posts/843...
AM or GK. Looks like the Aston is shading it in the vote....

Any Keeblers heading to the Wilton House Classic & Supercar event next weekend? Chassis 48 will be there on the Saturday for the Classics day of the event.
Blimey, looks a bit different from the club picture, restored inside and out, similar colour to 81. Estimate £60-90k, be nice to see a few more details, I wonder if this one will make it to the sale? Certainly the place to get top dollar but I think Bonhams charge about 10% either side.Mellow Yellow said:

I'm pit crew again, this time an Indy car, I'll pop into the auction.GK52 said:
