Great project!

My wife’s uncle trimmed the first Gilberns! Very talented chap. Eventually set up a trimming business in Jersey working on yachts and boats. Retrimmed my Colin Chatman steering wheel for me - fantastic job it was too.

Where in Cardiff are you? I am too.

Make sure you insure it for AD, fire and theft laid up

The car is safe and well, it’s in a locked / gated block smile near Whitchurch. I understand the trim was made in Whitchurch for the factory, how true that is I dont know.

It will be going green inside eventually. With grey carpet

Engine bay currently.
Cleaned up, note the large home on Passanger inner wing, badly bodged into fitted battery tray.
Iv had a brand new inner wing made via the owners club fri the original mold. Probably the first one since 1966!

Are you OK fabricating fibreglass stuff or have your own contact? If not I know someone who can probably help. He makes Lotus body shells.
