Could well be the same car then. It would be nice to think that it's back in this area. I'll look out for it. Can you post up a photo?

Ours was the only one that had been converted to road use back in the late 1980s. I don't think this was as difficult as it sounds: just raise the suspension a little, add on lights & indicators front and rear, a horn and a rudimentary exhaust silencer box, as well as a bench seat for two (with harnesses). For added torque for road use, ours also had a 2.2 litre engine on 2 x twin Weber 45s.

It was just an obsolete racing car back then, which had taken part in the Dutch Sports 2000 series in about 1981/1982, prior to being repatriated and converted to road use.

An historic Sports 2000 race series was created about 10 years ago or so. This raised the profile of these cars. One of the founders checked ours out but reckoned it would need too much investment to make competitive, so it stayed as a road car. Due to the success of the historic race series, I doubt anyone converted one to a road car again.
Didn't get a photo sadly.

Surely there is one of the TVR members from the meet who can divulge more?!

If it's the car I'm thinking of it's Carl's LS7 powered Gardner Douglas T70, whilst not an original Lola it's still a fantastic car & I'd certainly want to own.

Wasn't me - local chap in Northampton, but nice to see he's not put it away before winter.

Unfortunately I can't take the responsibility of that photo! My mate sent me the photo last night! There is a video of the blonde piece driving away in it, which I will upload later.

A trip out today and saw a white Evora speeding up towatds Morrison's at Kingsley, then a grey Sapphire Cosworth on the A43 coming from Moulton. On the A43 coming from Corby into Kettering spotted a green Noble and finally a dark blue Lotus Esprit on the A1 around Stamford.
