Looks like a good turn out, wish we could've made it!
Were we on your turf, Dave?

But seriously, Rutland water is a fabulous place. Something for everyone. Even birdwatching. Saw an Osprey over the north arm. Missed the Spoonbill on the reserve though.

Hi Mark, close enough about 15 miles away. Lovely area at Rutland. Ian's a lot closer at Uppingham, but he was at Le Mans.

Was lucky enough yesterday to get hold of a V8S from Swansea, so we were late back last night (also wife usually works Sunday's, but she's poorly).

Looking back on the day, a mythical event comes back into my head..... the "RUTLAND RUMBLE." Where did I hear about it? Who took part? Who organised it? Was it any good? Will it return? Did it ever happen in the first place? C`mon guys, I`m trapped in a paragraph full of questions...

Don't forget that its the Oakham Carnival on 2/7 and cars are wanted for the drive past and poss some rides.

I might even persuade Alison to set up a BBQ here afterwards in sunny MH.

Sorry I couldn't make it to ther BBQ at Steve's gaff.

Are the celebtaions for Blipi's B'day on wed or are we holding off for thursday? Let me know (assuming we're invited of course )

Rutland Rumble, Jan 2 2006, I rememebr it well....

Longers did a great job organising it with Mycroft borrowing a fantastic location for the end (country house).

Longers was considering planning one, but I think he may be a little busy on the domestic front at the moment. We'd certainly join in. If nothing else, perhaps it would be good to discuss at the Oakham Carnival?

But don`t forget our weekly kettering meet. I`ll run the idea up the flagpole this week, but they`re usually more interested in winding me up than listening! OI, YOU LOT!

Typical, I miss a meet a couple of miles from home cos I'm sat in a hot dusty field in France drinking beer watching noise for 24hrs (well not the whole 24hrs, I did go to bed between 5am & 7am Sunday!)

I had hoped to arrange Rutland Rumble 2 for June but, as petclub has mentioned, a weeks hol in the Lake District then a weekend at Le Mans plus a baby due on 29/7 haven't left a lot of time!

Will try to sort something for end of Aug though. In the meantime there's usually a good turnout at Exton for the East Mids meet.....

Anyone else fancy it?

If Little Longers wasn't due to be 2 weeks old on 13/8 I'd be going to Silverstone for the weekend, but I should be able to make it to Exton for a couple of hours.

I will almost certainly be there. I already e-mailed John a couple of weeks ago offering to recce and organise a run but he hasn't come back yet - he has been ill though so I may still hear from him.

Anyone up for 2/7 in Oakham?

Edited for smelling

Exton on 13th looks good to me, if we can make it would be happy to go via Uppingham. Still not sure if we can make the Oakham carinival or not. Dave
