Where are you lot off to?
Jamie Hi - It seems as though we are off to Foxton, where we probably might wander down through the locks to look at boats (Mark wildlife), but most of us to soak up the awesome view.
Please come along or ring one of us if you can make it, head for Mkt Harborough old A6, and it’s just off the roundabout at the end of the fast downhill stretch. My number is in my profile (I think).
Some of us are setting off from the trading post at 8pm, now that our Blipi has kept us in order.
Afraid "Beer Van" is out of order due to the road fund license not being obtainable at present (Come on DVLA).
Peter McGlynn (aka "the caretaker" did something truly selfless today, and while at the breakers yard, bought me a side load door for the beer van. I was speechless , he drove over and said I have something for you. (I felt all emotional - probably a bit soft I think!)
Edit to say : My number isnt in my profile, as the web site is down. Go.. 07909 742819

Guys, would be a bit daft for me to meet you at Kettering so I'll make my own way there. Are you meeting at Kettering at 8pm?
Easiest way to get to Foxton locks is: A6 past MH & keep going until you hit rounadabout at Texaco garage & turn left pnto B6047. Continue for about 0.8 miles and turn right into Gallowfield road. - Follow gallowfield road (nice country lane but watch the cambers) for 1.5 miles until just after a primary school on your right and take second left (on a sharp right hand bend) into Gumley Road. After acouple of hundred yards turn right into the wide access road to the pub & locks. Don't be fooled as the access road is quite long and terminates in a pay and display car park.
Hope this helps!
I may not be in the Chin.
Justin, coud you bring the indicator lens please. Cheers!

Must be the after effect of the 'Daisy Cutter' from last week!
PS: Glad you remained 'soft', or i'd be worried!

Ok so I can't and don't read properly what I write before I send it.
Unfortunately the spoolchucker wouldn't pick that one up either.
Anyway, I could do with losing a chin or two!
Thanks Justin. (edited to say I mean thanks for bringing the indicator lens!)
If the thermostatic switch arrives for the fan on the Rover and I can get it fitted in time I may pootle along in that!

Hey guys, I saw this on one of the Midlands thread and posted a reply as:
According to www.austinhealeyclub.co.uk/meets.html.
Last Thursday The Black Horse, Foxton, Leicestershire. dosent have a time though.
As stated earlier I used to go to this meeting but it's been on and off several times over the last year or two as the Landlord changed.
I've e-mailed the organiser from the web page to try and get clarification that it isn't out of date info on their web site but the message is returned as undeliverable and I've tried ringing the black Horse direct since 10.00am this morning (constantly engaged). I'll keep trying and post on the Nothants thread (www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?p=2&f=168&t=283033&h=0) if i get any response.
I suggest that for the moment we stay with the Foxton Locks plan but we can always change last minute as the 2 pubs are less than half a mile apart.

Apparently, there may be something on at a pub in Foxton on Thursday. Never been, but if I find out more I'll post again. Dave
