hi guys, rarely get to come on here now unfortunatley. still driving that bloody civic. looking at a celica gt4 or perhaps an mr2 turbo in the near future. prolly a mk2 16v golf in the meantime though.

anyway the real point of my post is to ask if anyone knows where i can get wheel alignment done? needs to be as cheap as possible! i've had my tracking done a few times and it is still pulling itself out all the time. possibly a camber issue i think, or a broken wishbone! i dunno. everywhere seems to charge £80+ - is this normal?

If I need my wheel alignment setting up properly, or the cars' for that matter, I take them to Jeff Fowkes in Ibstock: www.fowkes-auto.com/homepage.htm

Its a bit of a trek but they have a brilliant laser system and they know how to use it.

They have an additional monitor mounted in the waiting room/shop so you can see the readings and the alterations made.

Don't know what they charge but I don't remember it being anywhere near £80.00

Tyres Northants (01604 588599) are the daddies for 4-wheel laser alignment (camber, castor, setback etc).

About £80, but they'll give you a nice before and after printout of their work.

I take every car I buy there as my first stop.

yeah took my golf there, top notch service but they charged me £85+VAT(£105!!!) for the privelige. cash i don't really have, specially right before selling the car. it does need doing pretty badly though.

I will give jeff fowkes a ring and find out prices

Matt172 took his to Northampton Motorsport- its local to you jspesh, but I dont recall where spin
he had the same problem, it was always pulling to the left quite severley, had tyres tracked constantly, once 3 times in one week, he ended up at that place and they suggested it was camber, he had it adjusted and all was fine after that

yep, you need to host your pics on something like photobucket on the net, when you've uploaded your picture, you just have to copy and past the url for that picture and it will appear in your post. like this, hope that helps
