That was me. I managed to somehow knock 15 minutes off my PB but forgot my barcode.

Some parkruns are more strict than others but they can do a manual lookup when the results are processed and add in any people who have forgotten their barcodes.

Our local one also has a box where people can put their barcodes and pick it out should they forget it one Saturday.

One of our core team (and area Parkrun Ambassador) forgot her barcode the other week, after going home to get one she remembered she keeps a spare in the Parkrun laptop bag biggrin

81st run and 22nd location over 3 countries. Not too bad for 20 months of parkrunning.
Good work. Strange how you find yourself planning to fit in parkruns when you're away, we quite impressed to find one started a couple of miles from our hotel the week before our honeymoon biggrin

I'm only on 20 venues and 2 countries from 90 parkruns so far, but doing Dublin next week, shame the overseas ones don't count to the total stats though. I met someone the other day who's doing her 100th different venue next week, that's a pretty exclusive club.
Dublin was one of my foreign ones. The other was my 50 in Copenhagen.

Going to have to miss a run in September as we are on holiday, but I am seriously considering one near Gatwick. we land at 06:15 on Saturday morning, and it would be rude not to try to fit one in. Might not be very fast though. wink

I did one is the U.S. and one in Copenhagen and after contacting parkrun HQ they kindly added them to my stats.

Got to run at Fulham Palace Parkrun this morning as intended.

Very friendly and welcoming event. Plenty of tourists who were also visiting the Big Smoke, including some runners from an Australian event and one chap who ran his 100th, with all of his runs at a different event each week (shame he can't call himself a regular anywhere).

It was suggested previously that the course could be short. My Garmin, which I genuinely believe to be pretty reliable, clocked in at 4.82k - almost the entire course was lined with thick free coverage that I guess would cause the discrepancy. Being 200m out over 5k is bloody huge and I find it hard to believe it could be that far out.

Lapped runners weren't really a problem - a raspy "On yer right!" with plenty of warning gave people a hint I was coming up fast.

Decent field, too, where out of 255 runners today, I finished 22nd with 19:05.

As we were cancelled this week I did Clair Park (Haywards Heath). Bloody tough! 4 1/2 laps, half the lap is uphill and the other half downhill and narrow paths all the way. Luckily they only get about 100 runners so it's not too bad but def not a PB course!

Re the guy who's done 100 runs at 100 parks, I checked his history and he's volunteered 8 times (6 were marshalling) in 2 years, so whether or not he has a home event he's pulling his weight on the marshalling front which is more than many do!

I'm making a guest appearance next Sat as Run Director at Hove Promenade; all (well, both!) their experienced people are on their hols so I've been drafted in. I just hope it's sunny!

Clair is my home parkrun - my wife and I tend to take it in turns. It's always a pleasure when I do a different (flatter) one and am quicker with less effort! smile

I'm doing Shorpe in a month or so - that's a nice flat one so I'm going to go for it and see if I can get a really quick time.

Did Waterstown in Dublin on Saturday. My first time over 30 mins in ages (PB is 26:26), hilly course and lack of training over the last few months meant my legs were killing me. Not looking forward to the Yateley 10k tomorrow.

16:18 at Pennington Flash today. Happy with that as it's my first time sub17 there and was wet and muddy today with lots of weaving through others on the 2nd and 3rd laps.

Just scraped under 20 mins on last few outings, a minute off where I want to be. Not a fast course though. On the plus side have been first on Age Grading ! (75%+ @ age 54)

Two years and four months since I started I finally joined the 50 club today. Quicker than last week as well - must have been all the balloons that were attached to me :P

I seem to be getting slower at the moment. Have just dug out my Garmin running watch, so I can set a pace!

I've just heard Chorlton in South Manchester may be getting a ParkRun later this year.

Round the waterpark? that would be quite nice.

If you want a small travel, Bramhall is nice, and up north Heaton Park is evil and hilly..

I think they said it'd be in Longford Park.

South Manchester (Fallowfield) ParkRun is cancelled next week, will deff give another local one a go.

Lining up at the start with 400m gold medal winner sprinter Iwan Thomas (in yellow).

Finished ahead of him on my 50th parkrun despite the extra drag from the balloons wink

Hi KTF,
Which location is that? I have seen Iwan out a few times on runs in Southampton when I am running, my local is Southampton Common, is that local to you as well?

My local parkrun is the one in Netley (I am in Hedge End). Iwan lives very close to it so turns up now and again when he isnt busy doing TV, etc.

I have also seen him running along the A27 towards Park Gate but from where he lives you can run through Woolston into Southampton as well.

I have never been to the Common parkrun but when its cancelled, the numbers at Netley always go up smile The regular Netley course isnt flat compared to the one on the Common but its apparently a lot less hilly than the one in Eastleigh (which I also havent run).
