Stokes - Good all-rounder and can change a game with the ball and bat. He stays for me.
Cold light of day though

Bats at 28 average, takes a wicket every 67 balls

Is that really what English Test Class looks like these days ?

Eng can't lose from here.

Morgan and Taylor tons, for 300+
For once John I actually agree, although Morgan will be out in the 70's.

"interesting" wicket. Also. I think the bookies tend to prefer the underdog to win the first match to "sort" the odds before the cash in on the next match.

You cynical old so-in-so.
Sligtly OT HR, but what do you make of Arsene's comments about doping footballers. Seems obvious in many ways, I can't beleive the only footballers ever done for drugs are Bosnich and a couple of lower leaguers with a bit of blow.

There must have been some cases of players on Steroids or EPO or anything that lets them train harder. Aresene seems to be ready to open the can of worms that I would guess the FA would like to remain buried for as long as possible.

Look out. We're accelerating. 100-0 off 17.

First 6 overs: 23 runs RR 3.8
Next 11 overs: 77 runs RR 7.0

Tidy! #kissofdeath
Yep kiss of death indeed, Roy gone.

Still a better effort this

15 runs of the last 5 overs.

We don't seem to be able re create that devil may care attitude of the summer.

Anyway, still a decent overall score, 128/1 25 overs - 300 is still possible.

Ticking along nicely and Hailes 3 short of a ton. About time for another wicket.
Well that worked well, Hales gone.

Cap'n Morgan in to give it some tap. 7 overs to go 55 needed for the 300

56 from the last ten overs is not so impressive so I would think we are a bit short
Doesn't look to bad at the moment, Hafeez gone and Pakistan two down for 12

Think Pakistan bowled pretty much perfectly in the last ten.

Yep good result, Hales should really gain some major confidence from that, he should go on and bag at least another 20 centuries and 150 caps for England in ODI.

Surprised by the bowling today, we actually looked like an attacking side. Rashid, great spell loads of pressure on the Pakistan bats.

All in all a great bounce back from the dismal first match - suspect we were really under prepared

Would want to be chasing no more than 260 here, maybe 270 tops. Any more and I suspect we will fold up again.

Implies around 130 after 30 overs. At the moment Pakistan are pretty much on track for a decent total.

130/2 after 29 Overs

Ideally we'd have another one back in the hutch by now.

Pakistan quite capable of 300 from here. But ODI wisdom has it as double your score from 30 overs.

Crazy few minutes, and some pretty dumb cricket from Pakistan, I don't think great spin players should be getting out to Moeen "done him with a straight one" Ali

Anyway the old cliche about how does your score look with two more wickets gone is never truer than in a game like this. 300 looked a good total, now they will be lucky to make 250.

Bit of rebuilding until over 40/41 - then I think we will be back in the wickets.
