Christ, the scoreline appears to be higher than the attendance.

Long dull day in the field beckons.

Make that two days.

Got zero enthusiasm for this series. Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

That must be a record low for attendance, looks like there are more press than spectators.

Unfortunate but it's better than having to play in Jihadabad. I thought there were more expats in the UAE? perhaps all the matches should be played in Dubai where all the action is?

It's all a bit eerie, this big new ground sitting there empty in a sandy building site with lush green grass and nobody there at all. hehe

Struggling to get even a slight semi on for this series. Not only Pakistan are probably my least favourite test opposition (though I love them in the one dayers) but the pitches and the whole set up just sucks and indeed blows too.

389/4 - As ever with these matches for four days every one is calling a draw, and then on day five something resembling cricket breaks out.

I'm going to stick my neck out.

Pakistan 1st innings 700/7 dec.

England under the weight of scoreboard pressure and not much else fall to 346 all out with some spectacularly poor shot selection.

Following on and on the 5th day we collapse to 190 all out.

Innings victory.

That isn't stickign your neck out. I rather suspect that the declaration will be at 600/6 with half an hour to go this evening, we'll knock up 243 and follow on with 325 and lose with over a day to go.

FFS Pakistan having a laugh here. Why are they going to start livening things up with some match fixing?

Hard work out in the field , let's hope the top order back a decent fist of it. Well done to Malik first test in 5 years and he has a massive score , his previous best was 148. Rashid is going to need alot of time to settle in. Warne had figures of 1-150 on debut.
