Is the draw set up for Trump v Ronnie in final?

What an outstanding match between Selby and Hawkins.
Absolutely nail biting decider with more twists than the Stelvio Pass!
Loved it when Murphy said “I’m absolutely sure he won’t try to pot this” on the final blue….I was convinced he would, and he did biggrin
Marvellous snooker!

I saw the draw today and yes ,Trump and Ronnie are in separate halves and will only meet in the final .

Saw first 3.5 frames of Ronnie v Milkins ,switched it off as it was quite poor ,found the result later .

How Milkins won first 2 frames is a mystery as he was very poor but lucked in with a couple of Ronnie misses .

I see yet another bbc story about how Ronnie can’t be bothered with Snooker. Again, we get it. You hate the sport that’s given you everything. Either fk off or shut up quite frankly.

The thing is, if you watch his post match win interview, that’s not what he said at all. The bbc headline is poor quality clickbait.

It's worth watching The Edge of Everything - a documentary on Ronnie O which gives a surprisingly candid insight to him. Might not change your mind but it demonstrates why he is the way he is.

He hasn't been 'given' much to be fair.

His perspective is certainly weighted for obvious reasons. But you can't deny the bloke has worked, and worked for it.

All this natural talent bks. He has spent his life training.

Can certainly forgive him the frailty of humanity. He's personally brought me many, many hours of awe and entertainment.

Easy to forget how old Ronnie is (47), hard to believe he's still at the top at that age.

Steve Davis (as in being a top 16) and John Higgins (got to QC a few years back)

Incredible stat mentioned by Hazel there, if Ronnie wins today he will become both the youngest and oldest winner of the UK Championship.

Close I guess - I suppose I was thinking about truly dominant players like Hendry (early 40s) and Davis (last win in 30s both IIRC)

Watched this last night and it was an uncomfortable (but compelling) watch at times. Boy does the guy have some demons!
