I didn't see the whole match, but from what I did see you've got to hand it to McGill. He got to the finish line and walked straight over it without a fuss. A lot of excuses could have been made and he didn't need any of them.

Into the quarters we go so it's prediction time. Having consulted my copy of Grays Sports Almanac 1950 - 2000, I can state the following winners with some considerable confidence:

I think you could well be right about Robertson, but a look at the scores in the first 5 frames of the Trump match bode well for him too. Big break after big break.

Really impressed with McGill and after watching Murphy go two nil up I thought he was going to run away with it, I never used to be that keen on Trump but now he has matured a fair bit he certainly looks a very strong force.
