Great sportsmanship from Murphy but what a great performance by Bingham thought the whole tournament.

So pleased for the chap.

You've got the likes of Hendry and Davis at the venue yet they invite Kell Brook of all people to the presentation lol.

Really pleased for Bingham, he deserves it after the way he's played this fortnight.

Murphy was gracious in defeat also which is nice.

They announced earlier that it's going up to 500k next year. I'm not Barry Heearn's biggest fan but he's done a good job for these guys.

Wow, thoroughly deserved after taking out Ronnie and Judd. Shaun magnanimous in defeat, Barry Hearn must be rubbing his hands together, what a great night for snooker.

The BBC couldnt be anymore blatant about wanting to keep the WC at the Crucible so they give it the same coverage.

They've done loads of little promos about how important the Crucible is to the WC - I suspect becuase there is a constant threat the WC will mvoe abroad when the current contract expires - I think its assured til 2017 or so now.

They've just laid it on a tad too thick IMO, I have certainly noticed it anyway (its more during the promos they should during intervals etc rather than in commentary).

Can't say she's a looker to me, but each to their own.

What I can believe is that the moment she opens her mouth, you'll wish you hadn't smile

Great match, will done Mr Bingham.

Anyone watch the Masters last week? Ronnie came back after an 8 or 9 month break (due to insomnia and a back injury apparently) and ended up winning the whole thing - it wasn't vintage Ronnie all the way through but at times he was superb. He's definitively back to his old self because he gave an interview before the final suggesting that he cannot even make 20 breaks in practice and if it continues will give up the game for good. laugh Snooker wouldn't be snooker without Ronnie threatening to retire.

Yep I watched it, it's hard to understand how Ronnie can win tournaments playing at 80% of his capability. Selby, Robertson and Trump all showed an astonishing standard in certain matches and all went out before the final.
Having said that, I think Ronnie's potential beats a lot of players as opposed to his actual playing...

He seems to have an Aura and fear factor about him and that seems to give him an advantage before he even picks up his cue, it is amazing that he can have that amount of time off and just rock up and win a tournament, he is so naturally gifted its unreal.

As a young 'un and a Scot I was a Hendry fan, and no fan of Ronnie's when he came on the scene. But the last ten years or so I've really warmed to him, he's just an unbelievable talent.

It's like he just picks and chooses when he wants to win. If he turns up and is fine in the head there's nobody can get anywhere near him. Selby's a tt, Higgins is a Celtic fan, Murphy's a knob, Robertson's a bore, Perry, Bingham and Hawkins are just meh, so it's Ronnie and Wenbo for me these days. Ding too but he always looks like he's about to cry.

I'd really like him to at least equal Hendry's titles so he's always up there and not a Jimmy White nearly man. He really should have them nailed by now.
