"KP KO'ed! Three cheers for the ECB (expelling crooked batsman - geddit?!?!?) Turns out that Kevin Pietersen, the captain who likes to switch (hit) sides when he's losing, was telling the enemy how to bowl out his own captain! That's just not cricket!?!?! Stuck the boot into poor old Moores - well guess what?! You've crossed the 'boundary' and the country's had 'moore' than enough of you Kev! So what if he's one of the greatest batsmen of his generation - he's not paid to drone and a' moan and a'groan about the Falklands and eating meat (Editor - are you sure this is correct?) he's paid to score runs. This isn't District 'Six', Kevin, and if you don't like not being able to send text messages to friends, then may I suggest you FIGJAM off?!?! More like FIDDAM?!?!?
"The chief of selectors, can't 'ECB-yond' the end of his nose?!?! They need eyes checking to see if they have (Twenty20) vision for English cricket!! The 'forced removal' of our finest South African cricketer - next they'll be telling us they're bringing back the Bantu Authorities Act! You may have lost out to James Taylor but 'you've got a friend' in the British public, Kev! Andrew Strauss dropping you meant we lost to SA at Lord's - proof the rest just aren't up to it?!?! So what if you're a bit cocky?! It never stopped the Australian picking a team!!! So come on ECB - the 'EC' choice is to 'B' sensible and get King Kev back in!!"
Anyone here who has said that they don't want Pietersen picked for England, ever again will do U-turn if England's batsmen make low scores and England are heavily defeated. But members of this same group, who are reading this sentence here, will make sure that they don't do a U-turn, just so noone can tell them that their opinions of KP were actually capricious and badly thought out.

Six
Lords is usually best to be batting on day two and three. If we can keep this up we'll do both.

Great ! I was about to post this .... "And so here we are with the classic situation, England had the foot on the throat, but couldn’t they stamp it down. This is where Strauss should be earning his money, he lacks imagination and can’t bring the intensity in these situations. Batsman are looking comfortable in this pair, are we making the changes? setting more aggressive fields and generally giving them a proper going over. No we aren’t , we are bowling Trott – Strauss is now trying to keep the runs down until the second new ball. Always been an issue with Strauss" But instead - I will say - inspired captincy - almost Brearley esque.

Agree. He can be too defensive, and he doesn't need to be with this attack. So far so good. Keep the pressure on.

I see that KP has admitted it and apologised. Given that there have been rumours for a while of him causing divisions in the changing room, his continuous announcements of retiring from this and that and his ongoing issues with authority they should bite the bullet and leave him out permanently.

Decent bowling performance, perhaps a bit trigger happy with the reviews, but all in all a good day. Can't win on the first day but you can lose. If they were 250-1 we'd be out of it already. We need Swann to have a great match, he owes this team after all his "chat" 93 overs between wicket taking deliveries is not good enough for a bowler of his class.
