I was kidding... Maybe some of the guys on here can get all cocky when 'England' have been top of the game for 8 years...

80 runs after 30 overs...oh dear, not looking great for the Aussies at the moment.

I bet Watson is feeling every bit of his "t tto" tag now after getting bowled by Bresnan! This coming from the man that questioned England's 'balance' and calling Bres the weak link. What a !

The pitch is doing a bit and the soapshy commentators ( Knight & Gower ) on fox are suggesting that 220 might be a pretty good and defendable score should we get there. You won't be getting any freebies from Johnson and Doherty this time round and hopefully less from the rest.

It's difficult playing in the conditions today and I can't see your tail putting anywhere near enough runs on the board to allow your bowlers to put us under any pressure.

clearly on this pitch and these conditions it is not a 300 track. but wickets have fallen regularly and there hasn't been a solid partnership yet. Expect Cook and Bell to be very cautious early on.

200 on the board.
Somethign to bowl at - but not enough unless conditions are horrific; which I doubt.

Dont know about anyone else but I'm looking forward to the Saffas coming over. These junior sides who come over as warm-ups at the start of the summer haven't got the skill or the stomach for a fight.

I know Australia are a bit rubbish these days but I still enjoy seeing England play them.
They've really changed over the years, I know they've always looked a bit camp with their highlighted hair, funny bushy moustaches and jewellery but at least they were good at cricket.
This new lot have the same funny inbred facial features and effete yellow outfits but they seem to be sporting even more dyed hair and makeup. I expect they're all following Warne and his recent transformation.
It's a strange paradox that a country that trades off their tough image has sportsmen that want to look so much like girls and ladyboys. The most popular pastime AFL, has players sporting tight little shorts and vests grappling with each other.

From the Telegraph Live.
Latest OVER 37: ENG 151/2 (Trott 44* Bopara 4*) One from the Hilfy over. England let the engine idle as they pop in the shops for ten Bensons and a can of Tizer.

8 wicket mauling. Even the Bangles were tougher than this.

I watched a few overs of the soapshy innings and I though Lee's 2nd over when he went around the wicket to Cook set the tone for the rest of the innings, he seems to bowl a straight line from where he lets the ball go and from around the wicket it was fruit outside off stump.
If you are going to go around it must be tight on off and swinging, so few of the quicker guys seem to use the width of the crease these days either.
Well played your lot, and I still think Morgan and Broad are over rated and softer members of the side.
