I'm surprised Flo-Jo's 100m & 200m records still stand from 1988.

Not surprised really at the popularity of the Beach Volleyball especially as I now learn they have rather attractive dancers doing their stuff in the quiet moments. Did anyone else know this? http://youtu.be/0IYlcsY6ArU

Was there not significant suspicion that they were pharmaceutically assisted (even though not proven through testing) She had an early career in the sport when she did very well at 200m. Then she changed to 100m and all of a sudden ran half a second faster. I remember at the time there were lots of comparison photographs showing that how her body had changed, the obvious interpretation being that she had some form of chemical assistance. This was all the more remarkable as she was, by her own admission, not totally dedicated to the normal training regimes. There was her early death as well. The laws of America dictate that you can, in certain circs, libel the dead so we are ever likely to have the truth proved. Those who doubted that her timings were as a result of dedication of a quite remarkable level can quote the length of time the record has stood.
