Excellent start by Ogogo... against the World number one!
But a difficult second round - stay off and box him!
What an exciting finish, jeez I'm shaking, mainly with fear for him!
Bloody Hell - genuine goosebumps all over me now - what a result! Utterly fantastic - whatever happens now that's worth a gold for him. Unbelievable!

This is going to be tough. I can't see him winning this, needs to keep tight and keep moving

I wonder if Prince Phillip liked that, not sure if I can imagine him off his feet cheering or not, Edward maybe...

I nearly wanted to type "Ogogo Gone" - but he hasn't. Great performance.

Some of the decisions have seemed really odd. Like the Rumanian guy tonight losing.

All that effort, expectation and then fights out of his skin bullying and hurting the favourite only to lose. Unbelievable. Some of the worse decisions I've seen in ages and there's been plenty to choose from. One ref has been sent home but the judges seem fire proof.

there was the Iranian? guy who was disqualified for holding. which was also a disgrace. Even his opponent couldn't believe it.

the push button scoring in amateur boxing doesn't work for me.computer scoring is bulls t and i think a professional scoring system would actually be fairer. for those that don't know......there are 3(or in some cases 5-like the olympics)scoring judges.these judges have a box with two buttons on;one red one blue representing each fighter.in a nutshell, with 5 scoring judges three or more need to press the button within 1 second of each other to validate the awarded point. this is where the problems lie.judges positioned at differing points around the ring see different things and very often what looks plain as day on the telly is obscured from different angles around the ring.all of a sudden only 2 judges press a guy's button and what looks like a corking scoring shot from one angle doesn't register. score like they do in the pro's, that's what i say.

There are rumours circulating that the Ukrainian team have or will appeal the Ogogo result - anyone heard anything about this or know if it has been done 'n' dusted...?

Absolutely spot on - you see cuffs given points and then decent connections and body shots given nothing. For some many judges to be sat round watching and a computer and then to have some of these decisions is beyond baffling, it's sickening. And that's not even delving into the blatant corruption evident in the Worlds and he qualifying tournaments... "Oh, the President is here and they have been generous hosts, so yep, Gold for the local."

He needed a big final round, I thought they were a touch generous in the 2nd giving him it, personally would have put it at a draw or possibly one to the lithuanian, but that 3rd round was excellent, got his counters in perfectly and got his movement perfect. Excellent technical display from him, very impressed.

It was an excellent last round - dodgy first but I would have given him the second for the greater number of clean shots. Definitely the 3rd though despite a very 'fussy' referee.
Good for him to overcome the previous loss too, just what he'd need for his confidence.
