I missed the blurb. Why is Gareth Bale nominated?
Won the Copa del Rey and the Champions League, scoring in the final.
Ah right.

Yes. His plug of his Mrs show was just as tasteless as I'd expect from him.

I do enjoy listening to Eddie Butler's narration and voiceovers. BBC should make more use of him.

I'm still going for Lewis
He came 2nd place in 2008 for being F1 world champion, winner was Mr Hoy.

He's then gone and won it again, I personally think he deserves this.

Have to say Carl Froch comes across very well indeed.
As did Hamilton.

I think they all look good, the format helps show them in a good personable light. People will still vote for the sport they follow.

I think Rory will get it.

The golfists are a surprising large lobby and it's an individual sport over Lewis and his team which as he pointed out was over 1000 people.

Can't say I've ever warned to him too much, think Hamilton should and will win it this year.

If I wasn't biased towards sports I like, I'd probably think the horsey woman should win, she's achieved quite a lot by the sounds of it.

It's been crap ever since they moved out of the small studio, imo. Did anyone see the history of SPOTY programme earlier on? Some great clips of Bruno trying a golf chip, and various sports stars playing a driving arcade game. The good old days smile
Yes, I totally agree. It used to be a genuine highlight. Was saying the very same to Kinky junior earlier today!

I thought it was very enjoyable, the bit where Seve and Bobby Robson collecting their trophies was very moving.
