Murray's at the pinnacle of his sport, beating the world's best week in week out. Vardy and Leicester aren't.

I am not sure why this woman came to mind tonight seeing as she died 20 years ago but My goodness Beryl Burton would be an absolute superstar. Sorry its off topic but she is worth remembering

Sophie Christiansen is a quite remarkable individual. She puts 90% of the rest of humanity to shame.

As much as I would love to see a swimmer win it, Peaty just not well known enough I don't think. But make no mistake, those swims in rio were nothing short of unreal. He's not just ahead, he's miles clear of anyone else on the 100. First man to go 57 on the 100 before anyone else has even moved from 59. And if my stopwatch skills are worth anything his relay split was very likely in the 56's. As a swimmer myself, it just sounds absurd.

Would be happy to see Whitlock win it, but seems like we've never seen much of him since those amazing golds in rio. But first gymnastics golds for Britain for over 100 years has to be worth something!

Mo too, that guy is just a class act. Total domination in distance running and for a long time.

Can't deny Murray and his achievements, but I would just rather someone else got it.

It's ridiculous that the BBC don't mention formula 1 just because they don't show it

They just showed a clip. Besides, it's an Olympic year and a German won the WDC so F1 ain't gettin a look in.
