What sport have you taken up since the Olympics?

Or are you considering?
I'm toying with handball and swimming. I suppose I could do it at the same time and call it water polo. But I quite like the idea of handball seeing as I can't kick a ball accurately to save my life.
Gymnastics is another one but I've kinda already been mucking about with moves at home and there's nowhere for an old git to train.
Which club did you find out of interest? I'm interested in giving it a go myself but couldn't find a club around Hants I'm toying with handball and swimming. I've thought of giving floorball a go, it's basically ice hockey without ice and checking but I've not got around to it yet.

Boccia.
It's the only Paralympic sport playable by the really crippley types like me.
Less "higher, faster, stronger" and more vicious underhand tactics and OTT gamesmanship.
Please let that last part be true! I caught one of the Boccia gold medal games at the Paralympics and it seemed to be the embodyment of the Olympic ideal of fair play...I'd be delighted to find out there's actually a darker side to it!It's the only Paralympic sport playable by the really crippley types like me.

A bit like an interview with Sir Bobby Charlton I saw a while back, where he told a story of being at a football tournament and seeing the Italians blatantly timewasting...no major shock there other than it was at the world Subbuteo championships!!!

You start at trying to knock your opponent's ball away from the jack, move through trying to subtly make a sudden noise to make the opposition - er - 'spaz up', poker face when your shot's not gone as you wished... I'm only beginning and it's already completely nuts.
First league game is in 6 weeks. Played for the first time a fortnight ago. No practice next week as the coach is out of town. Eek!

Nice going.
I came third! However it also revealed a profound equipment problem: I'm playing with the £60 plastic ramp from DEMAND, all of my opponents (including the two I beat ) had the £600+ multi-adjustable all-singing all-dancing ones. I'll not be able to get much better at this without persuading my club to sort the kit out, which won't be easy...
