Women's tennis is getting slightly more watchable these days but the fact that there were only about eight people in the stadium for the Konta quarter-final makes you wonder about the equal prize money thing.
Looked quite full to me from the TV clips.

Are you thinking of her previous match where there weren't many there because an Aussie was playing on the other court?

22 minute and 32 minute sets. From the BBC feed Djokovic has it covered, more of a surgical job than a murder smile .

Edit: Federer's woken up, might be a match on now hehe

Fed has upped his game here - would be nice to see this go into a 5th set.

I think the crowd backing the other guy gets to Novak. I saw something similar in the French final last year when he seems to lose focus instead of staying on top of the guy he is handling perfectly. It's like he can't play well enough to ever have the crowd on his side. His attitude before he turned into the ultimate tennis robot has a lot to do with it I think.

Either way, hope it goes to a long 5th set and Andy comes through in straights to be fresh for the final.

From what we've seen there's only two ways of having a chance at beating Djokovic. Just slog it out from the baseline for 5+ hours and hope for the best - remember what happened last year in the final where he had his apparent injury.

Otherwise Raonic could possibly out serve and out forehand him from the back of the court and get it done in 3/4 sets. I don't really know if he has the consistency to be able to do that in his first final and overcome the pressure just yet.

Murray just doesn't have the ability to hold his serve well enough against Djokovic to be able to make the breaks count, I think he definitely has the ability to break the serve more than any others.

Raonic takes the breaker to go 2-1 up in sets.

Place your bets. Murray a) fightback, or b) defeat due to mental breakdown.

That seems a tad harsh on Raonic? He might simply be the better player on the day?

It's done. Murray will need to step it up another level for the final.

I'd don't know who wrote that, but it's superb.
