A screamer put off by a scream? Irony?

It all happens incredibly quickly...the player is presented with a scream on match point with adrenalin pumping. They have to make a very quick call under that pressure if they want to challenge....scream from crowd to ball back on raquet is 1 or 2 seconds. When you consider how little it takes to affect a players concentration generally the situation speaks for itself.

I guess the only thing that the players have to expect is that when the crowd invest in you they are going to live each point with you....easier to accept as a home supported player though probably.

Maybe a few strategically placed ballboys with raquets to clip the crowd screamers round the head....it would help hone their smash as well smile

Can there be any more frustrating players to watch than Andy Murray? I can't think of any. Seems incredible that he has progressed to such a high level in the game with such inconsistency.

Murray has to sort his head out when it comes to backing up breaks and serving out sets....he's been doing this since wimbledon last year, unfortunately now he doesn't trust in his shots quite as much. He still more often than not wins through when his back is truly up against the wall, but its just so painfully wasteful at times.

Hips looking a bit knackered though.

Querrey is on fire here - looks like we're headed for a 5th.

Pre-existing injury. His hip is knackered. It's remarkable he's still playing. All hands, no movement.

Andy obviously struggling with his hip but all credit to Querrey, awesome display of serving at the end.

Well thats Murray gone...completely shot in the 4th and 5th with the hip which he's always had issues with but not like this.

To be fair though he cost himself the match as he should have had it in three...but no way he was going to win this year so best he rests up now and regroups.

Fair play to Querrey but as thrilled as he is I hope he mentions Andy was not fit as no way would he have won that match with even a 90% Murray.

Give Andy his due he kept going (no trainers out, no timeouts-though doubt was much they'd be able to do and no early retirement) a real shame but nothing against Querry, good guy and deserved win for him.

Apparently you can't have an injury time-out if it's a pre-existing injury (i.e. didn't occur during the match)

Yes I didn't know that until just after I'd written my post but can have trainers on, fair enough I guess.
