Finished work a little early today so rushed home thinking an amazing match would be in progress. By the time I settled done in front of the telly it was over! Did I miss much?

Okay I probably deserved that smile

I'm not anti-Murray at all however I don't think it's unfair to point out that he's let a lot of leads slip this tournament and has at times struggled to finish players off. It's probably cost him an extra 2 or 3 hours of playing time over the whole tournament - that's the last thing you want going into a semi final against Nadal.

It's the ladies final tomorrow - predictions?

For me the heart says Halep but the head Sharapova. Halep has played great tennis all tournament but as this is her first major final can she keep her nerves in check? Sharapova can play some average stuff yet still grind out a win however I don't think her opponent can do the same.

Well Sharapova's screeching is even louder today (how is that even possible!!).

She's playing really well though. 1 set up and it's on serve in the 2nd set.

I was thinking (and hearing) the same thing, it's ridiculous. It should be banned.

And another thing with Sharapova, if you've seen her play one game, you've seen them all.

As I said before utterley nasty piece of work, and she is apparently extremely unpopular on Tour.

The screeching is quite frankly beyond, staggeringly so, and an advantage for her.
Even at my level, any talking or shouting during a rally is banned, and a let can be called.

I call it plain cheating at worst, and at best extremely bad sportsmanship.

Then there's the scowling, the fist clenching when passing her opponent at changeover, the petulance at the weather/crowd and the serve ritual and false toss.
Then the OMG crowd fawning when she won....I would have given her an Academy Award.

I've semi final tickets at Wimbledon, and dreading she gets through. I would never pay to see her play.

Hearing that we'd scored Finals tickets through my club and then realising that they were for the Womens Finals was a full-on good news/bad news experience for us. Sharapova herself has admitted she only does the screeching to put off her opponent. That and the back-turning delaying tactic when it suits her should be banned. My missis has warned me that she might end up being escorted out of the ground if Sharapova makes the Final.

Her 8 or 9 minute toilet break after losing set 2 was a disgrace too. The commentators were making excuses for her like 'she might be changing her dress' but it was simply gamesmanship in my book.

The weather today in Paris is 23 Celsius with a bit of sunshine.

It's very difficult to predict a winner. Nadal has only lost once at RG and was awesome against Murray but Djokovic has beaten him in their last 4 matches including one on clay. And he was 4-2 up against Nadal in the final set of last years semi final.

Heres for a 5 setter and I think Djokovic will eventually come out on top.

Now there's a left field choice.

Don't think anyone saw that coming...

Not sure nasty piece of work is fair. She does have a charitable foundation for example. I agree to everything else. If you really cannot stomach watching her play I will gladly relieve you of the tickets!

Don't watch much tennis these days, when did it become the norm to wipe yourself between each and every point??

The players seem to use this more and more now to buy time. There is a rule which says you can't have more than 25 secs between points however it's rarely implemented properly. Players are sometimes given a first warning but that's it. Another warning and they lose a point but the umpires never do it.
